The Foundations webinar is not a prerequisite to participate, but the recording of the webinar is available here if you are interested.
Moving from foundational concepts to applied practice, this session will explore how cultural competency and psychological safety show up in real-world technology environments. Topics include:
✔ Cultural competency and its connection to belonging and inclusion
✔ Unconscious bias and cultural assumptions in technical settings
✔ Equity-deserving groups and inclusion on job sites and with technical teams in the workplace
✔ Psychological safety and its role in inclusion and high-performance
✔ Practical strategies for being a champion of inclusion
✔ Reflection, commitment, feedback survey, and Q&A
Members will have the opportunity to engage directly with the facilitator and the content through interactive activities and discussion, including live polling and reflection using Slido. Participants will leave with practical tools and a clear, personal commitment they can apply in their everyday professional context.
