About Speaker

Shervin Reyhani, C.E.T., is a seasoned professional with a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Conestoga College of Applied Arts and Technology. He earned his Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation from OACETT in 1988 and has maintained an active membership in good standing since then. With over 39 years of experience, Shervin has dedicated his career to the structural design of building elements and components. His early career included roles as a soils technician, concrete pour inspector, concrete delamination surveys and field inspector for structural steel connections. For 37 years, Shervin's expertise spans various facets of building structural design, technical sales and marketing, manufacturing and distribution of wood and cold formed steel building materials. He spent two years as a Technical Manager at WoodWORKS!, a program of Canadian Wood Council (CWC), where he promoted the use of engineered wood products and supported industry stakeholders, engineers, and architects in incorporating engineered wood products into diverse building designs. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Shervin is an active volunteer with OACETT, having held numerous leadership roles. These include Chapter Director, Regional Secretary/Treasurer, PASB Councillor, Vice President of PASB, Chair of the Awards Committee, member of the Government Relations Committee. Most recently, he served as a member of the MESC Committee for the Western Region. Shervin's dedication to both his profession and his community underscores his commitment to excellence in the field of civil engineering technology.
