Note: A member must be an ACTIVE member to qualify for retired status.  If the current status shows as ‘Eligible for Reactivation’ or ‘Eligible for Reinstatement’ then they are not eligible for retired status unless they satisfy the requirements to return their membership status to active.

Retired members are NOT REQUIRED to complete CPD. 

Are you retired or preparing to retire? Retirees can maintain OACETT membership, certifications, and membership benefits like group insurance rates, all while paying reduced dues. Check below to see if you are eligible.

Retired members pay reduced membership dues – please refer to the Dues and Fees schedule for information on the current rate.

Please note, due to the reduction in allowed working hours, road construction designations cannot be held by retired members.

The criteria for retired membership are as follows:

• has retired or is retiring and has been a member of the association for at least 35 years
• has reach the age of 65 upon retiring
