OACETT knows the importance of supporting WIT, from sponsoring the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers diversity and inclusion virtual forum to recognizing awareness days like International Women in Engineering Day, International Day for Women and Girls in Science, and International Women's Day and supporting WIT initiatives. In celebration of International Women's Day, OACETT teamed up with WinSETT (Women in Science, Engineering, Trades, and Technology) to provide a virtual interactive leadership skills-building session for WIT chapter representatives.
Meet our OACETT WIT chapter representatives and networking group. Find out what first sparked their interest in working as engineering technologists and technicians and the great advice they can provide woman entering the profession.
A WIT Chapter Representative is a Certified or Associate Member in good standing, volunteering to sit on the Chapter Executive for a one-year term of office, which may be renewed. The WIT Chapter Representative is the local representative reaching out to female OACETT members and non-members. The purpose is to engage them to become strong supporters of their professional association and to encourage women to consider careers as engineering technicians and technologists.
