OACETT’s code of ethics and disciplinary process demonstrate commitment to public safety and the protection of the environment. All OACETT members make a commitment to adhere to the Code of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct. Certified OACETT members must pass a Professional Practice Examination to demonstrate they understand the Code of Ethics and their legal obligations to the public, their employers, and themselves.
The OACETT Act requires the association to have a disciplinary process in place. OACETT’s By-law 20 establishes the complaints and disciplinary process. It holds members accountable and responsible for their actions.
The association assures employers, legislators and the public that OACETT members act with integrity. Our commitment shows that members hold the safety, health and welfare of the public, the protection of the environment and the promotion of health and safety within the workplace as paramount.
